Is this Ferragamo?
And the Dark Side of Made in Italy, Unsustainable Sustainability and Tips for Talents in Fashion
Picture from Ferragamo website
“To introduce the Pre-Fall 2024 Ferragamo presents a new campaign (…): an articulation of the vocabulary Maximilian Davis built for the house, seen through the distinctly desirable lens of summer.”
This is the beginning of the explanation under the above picture on the Ferragamo website.
The Italian text says a different thing and translated in English is “Ferragamo presents the new campaign dedicated to the Pre-Fall 24 collection: a natural narration of Maximilian Davis' aesthetics through the lightness and beauty of summer.”
Words are important. Words convey the message and texts should be just translated into a different language, not changed.
Words might convey clarity or confusion.
In English, probably the text approved by Davis, there is no mention of “natural”, “lightness” and “beauty”.
The same picture is explained in two different way.
Is it just disorganization?
